After Meeting at your hotels, firstly, we will drive up to Bagrati cathedral which overlooks the city. It was built in the 11th century as a symbol of united Georgia. Afterwards, we move to the Gelati monastery of the 12th century. There are 3 big churches, an academy, the grave of David the builder, a bell tower, and houses of monks in the complex. It was built by the greatest Georgian King David The Builder. Then we move to Motsameta monastery which is related to the story of tortured brother lords David and Constantine Mkheidze. It’s built on a cliff and is surrounded by the river on 3 sides. The nature and colours around the monastery are amazing.
