We will also visit a cave town Uplistsikhe. Uplistsikhe is carved in a rock located 12 km east of the town of Gori on the left bank of the River Kura.

TOUR PROGRAM

 

We start picking up guests at 9:30 and at 10:00 we leave the city.

 

We go to the city of Gori, where Stalin was born and spent his childhood (Joseph Jughashvili). We will visit the Stalin’s Museum, where the dictator's personal belongings are stored.

Further, we will go to the ancient cave town Uplistsikhe, one of the first cities in the territory of Georgia. Uplistsikhe is carved in a rock located 12 km east of the town of Gori on the left bank of the River Kura. The city emerged in the late II - early I millennium BC. i.e experienced several ups and downs, was finally abandoned in the XIX century and is, therefore, a multi-layered archaeological site, one of the most important monuments of Georgian culture.
