DAY 1
Arrival in Tbilisi
Tour: Tbilisi – Mtskheta
Tbilisi is the ancient capital of Georgia, which has about 1,500,000 inhabitants. It was founded in the 5th century AD. e. by Georgian king Vakhtang Gorgasali. Today Tbilisi is the main industrial, cultural and social center of Georgia.
Old Tbilisi and sulfur baths. The basis of Tbilisi is associated with sulfur baths. According to legend, King Vakhtang Gorgasali found sulfur warm keys during the hunt. The name Tbilisi comes from the Georgian word "Tbili", which means “warm”.
Narikala fortress was built in the IV century. During its history, it was occupied by Iranian, North Caucasian, Byzantine and Arab invaders. Today, inside the fortress is the church of St. Nicholas (XIII century.).
Fortress Metekhi - is the first building, which was laid in the V century by King Vakhtang Gorgasali during his reign in Kartli. Magnificent views of Old Tbilisi are revealed from here.
The Trinity Cathedral is the largest cathedral not only in Georgia, but throughout the entire Caucasus region. The height of the cathedral is 100 meters. Inside the cathedral there are 12 churches.

DAY 2
Tbilisi - Tsalka - Tskhratsko Pass - Bakuriani

On the way, the most beautiful landscapes and mountains.
Arrival in Bakuriani, Georgia's oldest ski resort, leads its snow-and-recreational history from the end of the 19th century. The purest air of the high mountains, filled with the scent of coniferous forests, breathtaking views of sparkling peaks and gorges - all promised Bakuriani to become a winter residence for noble persons. And it happened. For the construction of a bridge narrow-gauge linking the mineral and snow resorts, was invited the recognized master of iron designs, Monsieur Gustave Eiffel. Today Bakuriani is not only the center of alpine skiing, but also a recognized family resort. Here you can skate, sleigh and snowmobile, go horseback riding and explore the surrounding area.

DAY 3
Bakuriani - Borjomi - Vardzia - Akhaltsikhe - Rabat Fortress

Departure to Borjomi which is famous for its beautiful nature and mineral waters. Visit the monastery of Timotesubani, which is medieval Georgian Christian Orthodox monastic complex (located in a unique Borjomi gorge).
We will visit Vardzia (12th century) - a complex carved in stone on the bank of the Mtkvari (Kura) river. At first it was planned as a city-fortress, but later it turned into a fortified monastery, which played a big role in the political, cultural, educational and spiritual life of the country. Inside the complex there is a frescoes richly painted Church of the Assumption.
In the end we will visit the Akhaltsikhe region, the historical fortress of Rabat (dating back to the 9th century). The fortress was recently completely restored and given its original appearance. The territory of Rabat covers about seven hectares, where there are Georgian, Turkish and Russian architecture samples. In the complex, along with the Orthodox Church of St. Marina, there are a mosque, a Catholic church, a synagogue and an Armenian church.

DAY 4
Akhaltsikhe – Zekari Pass - Kutaisi

Akhaltsikhe is a small town in the South-Eastern region of Georgia: Samtskhe-Javakheti. It is located on the banks of the river Pockhovi, which divides the city into two parts - the old north and the new south. The name of the city from Georgian translates as "New Fortress".
From the resort of Abastumani, the road leads to Zekari or Mzekari (“Gate of the Sun”), where the tourist base is located and further to the Bagdat district of Imereti, which is also part of the Borjomi - Kharagauli National Park. One road leads to the well-known resort of Sairme, and the other, to the beautiful gorge of the river Kershavetisckali, where we will see an impressive waterfall and relax in a rest house, near which the famous hot mineral water bubbles.
We will go to Kutaisi, the second largest city in western Georgia, which is the former capital of the kingdom of the Georgians of Colchis and is associated with legends about the Golden Fleece and the Argonauts.

DAY 5
Kutaisi - Zugdidi - Mestia

In Kutaisi we will examine the UNESCO-protected cultural heritage monuments: Bagrat Cathedral (11th c.) and the monastic complex of Gelati (8th-11th centuries). Also we will go to Prometheus cave . We'll visit Samegrelo, enjoy the waterfall on the river Abashisktkali. Visit Zugdidi, the palace of Dadiani princes. The Dadiani Dynasty entered the history of world culture with subsequent technical achievements. They actively participated in various social events.
We will go to Svaneti. On the way, we will examine the Inguri Dam (height: 271 m) which is the tallest building in the world of this type. The dam collects water in the reservoir in a beautiful gorge in the mountains of Svaneti and Samegrelo. You should be ready to inspect the finest part of the road, a region with the highest mountains, glaciers and unchanging ancient traditions. In Svaneti we will visit the basilica of the 8th and 14th centuries in Latali and Lentekhi, which are constructed of un-carved stone, but richly decorated inside with frescoes

DAY 6
Mestia - Ushguli

Historically and ethnographically, Mestia has always been the main community of the upper and high Svaneti. In ancient times, it was known as Seti . Despite its small size, the city has been an important cultural center of Georgia and it contains many medieval monuments.
The churches and fortresses are protected by UNESCO heritage sites of culture. In 1968 they were given the status of Daba; here are the Lagam’s Church of St. George (7th-12th centuries) and the residential complex of svans. We will visit the Church of St. George in Nakifari (1130) in Ushguli, which is the most high-mountainous settlement in Europe (2200 m above sea level). The buildings in Ushguli are listed as a UNESCO protected cultural heritage site.

DAY 7
Ushguli - Lentekhi - Tsagery - Kutaisi

The uniqueness of Lower Svaneti is determined not only by their geographical position, but also by a rich, diverse flora and fauna. The mountains of this region, the gray peaks and ridges of the Caucasus, the rivers and waterfalls, numerous forest tracts, animals and birds, natural caves, passes, alpine meadows and pastures, beautiful roads and paths, Svan’s towers and other views . The unique effect makes acquaintance with the local population and communication with them. They have a rich historical past, way of life, culture, folklore, which was written by ancient Greek, Roman, Persian, Turkish and European travelers and explorers.
Lentekhi is a small town and ethnographically belongs to the historical region of Georgia in Lower Svaneti.
Tsageri is also a small town at an altitude of 475 meters above sea level. There live about 1900 people.

DAY 8
Kutaisi - Gori – Stalin’s Museum - Uplistsikhe - transfer to Tbilisi airport

We will go to Gori. The city was founded by David the Builder, one of the greatest kings of Georgia (1089-1125). We will visit the Stalin’s Museum, which is dedicated to the most famous sons of the city, who became the leader of the Soviet Union. We'll visit Uplistsikhe. This "King of Fortresses" is a city carved into stone. It is located in East Georgia, on the high stony bank of the Mtkvari (Kura) river. All this represents a unique combination of different cultures of stone art.
Return to Tbilisi
